Benefits...regardless of role

Individuals responsible for assessing and improving schedule performance benefit from the Analyzer. What about Organizations? There, too, the  Analyzer has benefits.

Project Manager

To keep the project on schedule, PMs need fast, accurate measures of current schedule performance and estimates of future schedule impact. If the project is running late, they need to understand the probability of recovery. Finally, they need to know how well execution is adhering to plan and how deviations will delay the project.

All of this must be easily understood, readily communicated, and easy to share.

That's a tall order. But, the Analyzer delivers it.

PMO

Tasked with helping projects stay on schedule, PMOs need quantitative metrics that apply consistently across roles, projects, and portfolios.

Consistency helps PMOs quickly and fairly assess status across projects. It sets common grounds for feedback to projects and for oversight reports to management.

As standards, ES metrics have been institutionalized by the Project Management Institute (PMI), U.S. National Defence Industry Association (NDIA), and International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

The Analyzer offers all of these benefits.

Organizations

What's in it for Organizations?

First, the Analyzer supports key roles in an organization. It gives those roles the tools to help them do their jobs, showing concern and respect. By setting shared, objective benchmarks, the Analyzer promotes fairness and equity. In short, it contributes to employee satisfaction (ESAT in HR lingo).

Beyond that, the Analyzer gives Organizations a common view into schedule performance across the projects in its portfolio. That supports decision making on priorities. When it comes time for re-balancing portfolios and for planning cycles, a common view of performance is especially valuable.

Finally, the Analyzer helps align Organizations with international standards such as ISO. The alignment enhances the reputation of the Organization and in some cases is required for certification.

Note: Are you using the Analyzer on multiple projects? If so, check out our flagship CloudES product. It's designed specifically for the multi-user environment.
